We start with volleyball today where the Roadrunners are looking for a 3-1 start to the season as they play at Radford this afternoon. The ‘Runners opened the season with a 2-1 performance at the Davidson Tournament and now are gearing up for their James Madison Classic appearance this weekend.
Radford is 2-1 having lost to Eastern Kentucky last weekend. It will be another busy week for CSUB volleyball on the road.
Yesterday we had a chance to chat with head men’s basketball coach Rod Barnes on Roadrunner Rundown. Not only did we chat about the upcoming season, we also unveiled the schedule on the show. Here’s a link to the schedule, there is one more away game and a home exhibition game still to be added.

We also spoke with Miss Sue Mitchell of ‘The Blind Side’ fame who will be in Bakersfield next week to speak at dinner benefitting the Roadrunner Scholarship Fund. Tickets are still available.
In another event, former Roadrunner soccer standout Gyasi Zardes will be in Bakersfield on Sunday, Sept. 22nd at Lengthwise on Schirra Court for a special meet and greet and fundraiser for men’s soccer.
