Big week in store on campus for CSUB Roadrunner fans. We’ll start with baseball who after taking the series at UC Riverside on Sunday 6-3, will host the USC Trojans Tuesday night at Hardt Field. The Roadrunners let two ninth-inning leads slip the first time these teams played back in March, so there is some unfinished business to be had.

The ‘Runners played very well on Sunday at UCR, turning three double plays, the school’s first ever triple play, and pounding out 6 runs on 12 hits while Hayden Carter earned his first career win coming out of the bullpen to throw 8 complete innings for the win.

Also this week, men’s soccer hosts a spring exhibition Saturday night at 7pm against UCLA at the Main Soccer Field. Admission is $8 and $5 for adults. UCLA was a College Cup Final Four team last season while the Roadrunners were in the NCAA Tournament field, it should be a good measuring stick for the ‘Runners who will enter the Pac-12 in 2-2013.

Onto the headlines, catching you up on some stuff from over the weekend.
