Why is it that baseball is the most finicky sport in the universe? I mean one game you pound out 8 runs, you can’t miss when you hit a ball and you cruise to victory. The next game you hit the ball equally as hard but right at people and you can’t seem to catch a break, that’s baseball, and it’s a needy, wanting, emotionally unstable mate. And the Roadrunners found that out yesterday in their 5-2 loss at Northridge.
Pitchers left a few balls up in the zone, and those still haven’t landed yet, the ‘Runners battled early, tied it with a longball of their own, then everything started getting caught, no breaks, a few HRs from Northridge was all it took for the Matadors to get the mid week win. It’s off the Nebraska for a three-game series starting on Friday.
Men’s soccer released its 2012 signing class last week and that has now drawn some attention from the soccer media, especially with the high-level of talent brought in by Simon Tobin, a few more pieces of this puzzle will fall as well. The future is definetely bright.
